Occupational injuries due to job accidents are the main reason of approximately 15% of the mortalities due to accidents, worldwide. The reason for industrial accidents is complex and: on the other hand, to recognize these reasons is necessary in planning for reducing them, so in this research it is attempted to investigate the job accidents in petrochemical industry. Thisresearch was conducted on 402 individuals using cross-sectional-analytic methodology. The accident investigated included 33 ones. After studying the personnel file, all the participants’ individual factors such as age, job experience, working shift, occupation, injured organ, place of accident, type of accident, time of accident (hour), reason for accident and the season of the accident were extracted. The individuals’ mean age was 39.19±6.6 years. 45.5% of the injured individuals were in age range of 30-39 years. 54.5% of the injured were educated lower than diploma. The organs with most injuries among them were related to higher organs equal to 51.5%. The most reasons for accidents were related to collisions, accident or being hit (24.2%). There wasnot a significant relationship betweenthe job experience groups and the accidents rate. Most of the accidents was related to the technical worker (24.2%). There was no significant relationship observed between shift workers and day workers. After investigating the individuals’ age-related information, it was indicated that most of the injured individuals were in age range lower than 40 years based on which it is necessary to train the young workers.
